  • Owner, Ricochet Promotions
  • Years in Business: 4
  • What has being a Chamber Investor meant to you and your business?Being a Chamber Investor has allowed me the opportunity to become part of the Pflugerville Community in a way that I would not have been able to otherwise.  I know more about the business community and interact with more business leaders than I ever have before.  The Chamber has given me and my business more exposure more quickly than I ever imagined.  Chamber events also help you to learn what is going on in the City of Pflugerville above and beyond just the typical networking that you might find with other groups.
  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share?  Never forego the opportunity to listen to someone and learn something.  You never know when that piece of information will make a drastic difference for you and your business.

Gary Rose
Secretary
  • Manager, SouthWest Water Company
  • Years in Business: 27
  • What has being a Chamber Investor meant to you and your business?  It has given me the opportunity to access the perspectives of other business leaders that are in other industries.
  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share?  Never quit learning and upgrading your skills.  The world is quickly changing and to be successful, you need to keep up.

Steve Webb
Treasurer
  • President, Metro Optics
  • Years in Business:  43
  • What has being a Chamber Investor meant to you and your business?  It has been a great networking opportunity where we have been able to connect with local businesses.  We have filled a number of our company needs through people we met in the Chamber.  Participating in Chamber functions has raised our awareness and connection to the Pflugerville community.
  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share?  Delegate!  Utilize other people inside and outside your business to help you accomplish tasks.  An outside perspective will help keep you on track.

Perry Sanford

  • Years in Business:
  • What has being a Chamber Investor meant to you and your business?  I have built long lasting relationships in Pflugerville through the Chamber.  This has helped my business overall.  We have been proud to give back to the community through the Chamber.
  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share?  To be successful, you need a drive and passion for what you do.  Be patient, success takes time.  And give back to the community; it's very rewarding.

Tim Jackson
2015 Chair
  • Community Relations Manager, Round Rock Express
  • Years in Business:  16
  • What has being a Chamber Investor meant to you and your business?  Being a Chamber Investor has been as rewarding personally as it has professionally for me.  I find that the Chamber and the Express share a similar mission when it comes to supporting our community and the region as a whole.  Through the development of lasting relationships and sincere local investment, we both strive to bolster the lives of our Central Texas neighbors, and that's about as rewarding of a livelihood as you could ask for.
  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share?  Be both self-aware and self-confident in your abilities.  Together these traits balance you as a professional, but separate of each other, they can be detrimental to your success.  If you're self-aware of your strengths and weaknesses, yet aren't confident enough to act on them, you're seen as timid or indifferent.  On the flip side, if you're overly confident in skills you don't have, you come off as smug or "out of touch".  Know your abilities and be bold in them.

  • What is the best piece of Business advice you would like to share? The key is service, but with the qualification that service applies as much to your employees and vendors, just as much as it does to your customers and clients.
