Want to reduce your risk of coronary heart disease, improve your blood pressure blood sugar levels – and your mood – while reducing the risk of osteoporosis, cancer and diabetes? Take a Saturday morning to “Walk With A Doc” from Baylor Scott & White Health on the second Saturday of each month.
On Feb. 10, 2018, join pain management physician Hasan Chowdhury, MD, and physician assistant Puja Muley, PA-C, for an informative discussion on opioids: the good, the bad and the ugly. Then step off on a healthy, two-mile walk and continue the conversation.
Participation is free, and you also can get blood pressure screenings, personal pedometers, T-shirts and refreshments. Walk With A Doc starts at 9 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8 in San Gabriel Park, 445 E.
